Long before selling over 40 million records and before he sang a note, Willie Nelson started his career as a songwriter/hitmaker. The... And Then I Wrote LP, originally released in 1962, debuted Willie Nelson's unique vocal stylings to the world. Featuring all original compositions including the legendary hits "Crazy"(made famous by Patsy Cline) "Touch Me" and "Hello Walls" Jackpot Records is honored to release this momentous record on stellar colored vinyl from the master tapes with the original artwork. The critical success of the album Shotgun Willie (1973), combined with the critical and commercial success of Red Headed Stranger (1975) and Stardust (1978), made Nelson one of the most recognized artists in country music. He was one of the main figures of outlaw country, a subgenre of country music that developed in the late 1960s as a reaction to the conservative restrictions of the Nashville sound. Nelson has acted in over 30 films, co-authored several books, and has been involved in activism for the use of biofuels and the legalization of marijuana.

1 Look at the Fool

2 Bring It on Up

3 Helpless

4 Freeway Blues

5 Tijuana Moon

6 Ain't It

7 Peculiar

8 Who Could Deny You

9 Mexicali Voodoo

10 Down in the Street

11 Wanda Lou

Handling Note: **Please allow an additional 72 hours for this item's shipment.**

Format Detail: LP

Genre: Rock

Format: Vinyl

Internal ID: JITFE

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/Willie-Nelson-and-Then-I-Wrote-Limited-Ed-Colored-vinyl_DWowL.jpg?v=1759163772
the-black-crowes-warpaint-9-1
Warpaint [9/1]
Before anyone had heard a track from WAR PAINT, the Black Crowes' seventh studio outing, it had already kicked up a PR firestorm. Either by deciding to forego listening to it or by obtaining a leaked download, Maxim Magazine panned the record before they even had an official promotional copy. These aging neo-hippies found themselves as unlikely defenders of the teetering music industry by publicly defaming Maxim and demanding an apology. They got it. Maxim ate, er, crow. Having taken shots since their debut record for their unabashed derivative revivalism, the Crowes seem to be a band that functions best when beleaguered.
Fortunately, WAR PAINT is worth the tussle. After a decade-plus on the jam band circuit, the Robinson brothers return to form, gleefully ripping off the Rolling Stones. The lead-off track, "Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution," with its swinging beat and raunchy slide--courtesy of Mississippi All-Star and new Crowe Luther Dickinson--recalls "Let it Bleed." "Oh, Josephine" echoes the weary, processed guitar tones of "Waiting On a Friend." They even ape the Stones aping Gram Parsons on the beautiful, country-tinged number "Locust Street." WAR PAINT occasionally finds the band stretching out into a looser, more natural vibe, as on "Whoa Mule," the closer, augmented by elements of freak-folk and reportedly recorded outside the band's Catskills studio. Certainly the individual members stayed busy making music, and in Murphy's case DJ'ing and producing. It seemed like a natural step to get back together and make music again, despite any possible embarrassment that may arise from having bowed out so grandly. American Dream is an emotionally charged and tightly wound return, balancing bursts of dance-punk energy with post-punk moodiness and synth pop abstraction, powered by insistent beats and Murphy's distinctive vocals. It's an album made equally for the feet, the brain, and the heart, with moments of melancholy and release, sadness and joy, all delivered with an unsentimental, unpretentious eye and ear. As on past recordings, Murphy handles the bulk of the instruments himself, though Al Doyle is on hand to provide guitars and keys on many songs and everyone else has some input along the way. There is more focus on the less raucous dancefloor fillers this time out, though there are still plenty of wall-rattling tracks that sound like they are made out of sweat and smoke, namely the bubbling Talking Heads-inspired "other voices" and the hooky, immediate "tonite." The balance is tipped a little in favor of songs that show restraint and graceful sadness. Album opener "oh baby" sets the tone somewhere close to despair with its funereal tempo, thick slabs of synth bass, and glimmering melody. Other examples of the band's darker side are the moody synth goth ballad "i used to," the darkly insistent "how do you sleep?" (which features almost full band participation), and "black screen," Murphy's heartbreaking tribute to David Bowie that's also an indictment of his own failure to connect. (There's also a sweet tribute to another fallen hero, Alan Vega, on the title track, an appropriately doo wop-inspired rocker.) There's also more '80s post-punk in the mix this time, as "call the police" sounds like a violent Psychedelic Furs and "emotional haircut" aims for the jugular and hits it dead-on. It's a thrilling, rampaging rocker with fiery guitars, furious drumming, and a sound that leaps out of the speakers like an angry version of "Drunk Girls." No matter the style or mood of the songs, Murphy's vocals are the main attraction, delivering snaky asides, heartfelt emotion, and insistent chatter in his trademark fashion. The years off haven't quite mellowed him or made him a crooner; he still mixes the tart with the bittersweet like a master chef. The years haven't made LCD Soundsystem any less relevant or important, either. The times still require a great rock band (with synths) that can tap into the anxieties of modern life while also dancing the night away. American Dream isn't just a triumphant comeback, it's another great album by a great band.

Tracklist

A1        Oh Baby
A2        Other Voices
A3        I Used To
B1        Change Yr Mind
B2        How Do You Sleep?
C1        Tonite
C2        Call The Police
C3        American Dream
D1        Emotional Haircut
D2        Black Screen

*Audio and/or tracklist may vary slightly from the vinyl version.

Label: Dfa Records
Rel. Included are such classic cuts as the title track, "Iron Horse/Born To Lose," "Lost Johnny," and "The Watcher."

Genre: Pop

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/Motorhead-Motorhead-White-Vinyl-Import_BciSu.jpg?v=1743013135
grateful-dead-road-trips-4-no-4-spectrum-4-6-82
ROAD TRIPS 4 NO.4 - SPECTRUM 4-6-82

ROAD TRIPS 4 NO.4 - SPECTRUM 4-6-82 is a Music CDs from Grateful Dead

Genre: Pop

Format: CD

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/grateful-dead-road-trips-4-no4-spectrum-4-6-82_kudEu.jpg?v=1758890154
rehab-million-dollar-mug-shot
MILLION DOLLAR MUG SHOT

MILLION DOLLAR MUG SHOT is a Music CDs from Rehab

Genre: Pop

Format: CD

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/rehab-million-dollar-mug-shot_DKm8q.jpg?v=1759211826
agents-of-obliv-agents-of-oblivion
Agents Of Oblivion
Agents Of Oblivian: Dax (vocals, guitar); Mike (guitar); Chuck (piano, keyboards); Alex (bass); Jeff (drums).
Recorded at Noiselab, New Orleans, Louisiana.
The first and only album by Louisiana's Agents of Oblivion is a distinct departure from the music of Acid Bath, the previous band of songwriters Dax Riggs and Mike Sanchez, though it does shed some light on that band's unique collision of styles. While fellow Acid Bath member Sammy Duet went on to pound out grinding black metal with Goatwhore, Riggs and Sanchez put together a band more concerned with melody and straightforward rock songwriting. There are strong echoes of T. Rex (whose "Cosmic Dancer" they cover here) and Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie in the soaring, melancholic grandeur of slower tracks such as "Phantom Green," "Endsmouth," and "Big Black Backwards." Meanwhile, the hard rock numbers, notably "Slave Riot" and "Ash of the Mind," recall Iggy Pop and, again, T. Rex, though the heavy drums and thickly distorted guitars have a density more in line with the grungy metal of the Melvins or early Alice in Chains. The lyrics, though, are purely Riggs' work: vivid, desolate, and filled with image-laden references to insects, death, and decaying skulls that avoid sounding trite or adolescent, as they might have in lesser hands. His sorrowful, crooning vocals, too, are really superb, perhaps influenced by Bowie and Jim Morrison but still quite distinct. In the end, Agents of Oblivion may not be the most groundbreaking record to come out in 2000, but it is still a fine piece of desolate, melancholy hard rock that, rather than simply recasting its '70s rock influences, invests them with real personality and creativity. ~ William York

Genre: Pop

RSD Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/agents-of-obliv-agents-of-oblivion_5TUqQ.jpg?v=1741075782
the-haunted-strength-in-numbers
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS is a Records & LPs from The Haunted

Genre: Rock

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/the-haunted-strength-in-numbers_SfQBV.jpg?v=1759213976
nic-jones-penguin-eggs
Penguin Eggs
Until a crippling accident in the '80s, Jones was an integral part of the second British folk revival that included artists like the Oyster Band and Pete Morton. It includes six postcards of the artwork for the original singles and EPs.
For over a decade, the early singles of Andrew Eldritch's goth crew, the Sisters of Mercy, existed only in a limited-edition vinyl format. They also went for fairly high prices, something that led to extensive bootlegging. Thankfully, in 1992 head honcho Eldritch decided to release all of the Sisters' pre-major-label material on a single compilation CD. He was rewarded with a U.K. number one album, and the opportunity to buy himself a new Porsche. The title comes from a Leonard Cohen song, "Teachers," which was the first song performed by the fledgling Sisters. All five early singles/EPs are here, from 1980's "The Damage Done" to 1983's "Temple of Love." The material is not presented chronologically, which is fine since the band's first two singles are the weakest on the album. "The Damage Done" might command a high price on vinyl but isn't a particularly good song, and the 30-second B-side "Home of the Hit-Men" is entirely pointless. Follow-up single "Body Electric" is better, featuring the classic punk workout "Adrenochrome," but it wasn't until 1982's "Alice" that the band hit its stride. The title track is an instant classic, while "Floorshow" became a live show staple. The Reptile House EP, featuring tracks five to ten on the CD, saw the Sisters take a turn into more overtly dark territory, featuring some of their bleakest and most anguished work. Their final indie release, "Temple of Love," continued this trend, with Eldritch turning in an impressive vocal performance. The cover of "Gimme Shelter" doesn't entirely work, but it's an interesting glimpse into the band's roots. Some Girls Wander By Mistake captures the Sisters of Mercy at their most ferocious and angry, in the years before the band became weighed down by over-produced synth-based efforts. As a look at the formative years of a still-popular band, it's great, but as a reminder of the punk roots of the goth movement, it's priceless. ~ Jim Harper

Released: 09/01/2017

Format: Vinyl

Genre: Pop

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/products/sisters-of-mercy-some-girls-wander-by-mistake-era_jQZ4c.jpg?v=1737518146
the-babe-rainbow-the-babe-rainbow-aus
THE BABE RAINBOW (AUS)

THE BABE RAINBOW (AUS) is a Records & LPs from The Babe Rainbow

Genre: Pop

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/the-babe-rainbow-the-babe-rainbow-aus_JO2wo.jpg?v=1759084648
steve-winwood-winwood-greatest-hits-live-4-lps
Winwood Greatest Hits Live (4 Lp's)

Winwood Greatest Hits Live (4 Lp's) is a Records & LPs from Steve Winwood

Genre: Pop

RSD Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/steve-winwood-winwood-greatest-hits-live-4-lps_CDc7W.jpg?v=1741081061
starsailor-all-this-life
All This Life
The fifth studio album from Britain's Starsailor, 2017's All This Life is a sophisticated, organically produced album that nicely balances the expansive lyricism of their early albums with the robust stadium rock they embraced during the mid- and late 2000s. Still centered on the passionate warble of lead singer/songwriter James Walsh, Starsailor are a band caught somewhat out of time. Influenced by a combination of classic rock acts like the Beatles and Pink Floyd, they also draw easy comparisons to contemporary artists like Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Coldplay. Bursting onto the scene in 2000, they appeared just after the hype over Brit-pop bands like Oasis and Blur had begun to dissipate. After the release of the highly anticipated Phil Spector collaboration Silence Is Easy, the excitement surrounding the band cooled and Starsailor were left to move forward in a more discreet fashion, and in the process, develop their songwriting skills and studio savvy. Produced by Embrace guitarist Richard McNamara, All This Life is Starsailor's first full-length album of new material since 2009's All the Plans. The extended hiatus seems to have worked for them, as they've come up with what is easily their most mature and balanced production to date. Cuts like the dynamic "Listen to Your Heart," with its orchestral flourishes, and the moody folk-rocker "All This Life," with its echoey piano accents and hooky, effusively delivered chorus, grab you from the start and beg for future spins. There's also a deft level of stylistic growth here on tracks like the Bowie-esque "Take a Little Time" and the steamy '70s soul number "Caught in the Middle." Of course, they still know how to write a yearning ballad, and here we get one of their best in the dusk-toned "Sunday Best." Built around a delicately articulated acoustic guitar pattern and marked by Walsh's sanguine, potent yawp, the evocative heart-wrencher builds slowly to a spiraling, Floyd-worthy ending complete with a female backing chorus and a storm of guitar atmospherics. All that and you're still only halfway through the album. Thankfully, the back half is just as compelling, full of impactful rock anthems like the gospel-inflected "Blood" and the organ-steeped, Rattle and Hum era U2-sounding "Best of Me." Ultimately, Starsailor have been around long enough to earn veteran rocker status and All This Life, with its perfect balance of emotional gravitas and buoyant lyricism, is an album worthy of that status. ~ Matt Collar

Genre: Rock

RSD Date: n/a

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

All This Life is a Music CDs from Starsailor

Genre: Alternative

Format: CD

Released: 09/01/2017

gpo-retro-swb18gb-12-vinyl-record-case-35-count-capacity-removable-lid-rustic-green-with-black-interior
GPO Retro SWB18GB 12 " Vinyl Record Case 35 Count Capacity Removable Lid - Rustic Green with Black Interior)

GPO Retro SWB18GB 12 " Vinyl Record Case 35 Count Capacity Removable Lid - Rustic Green with Black Interior) is a Accessories Accessories from GPO

Format: Vinyl Accessories

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/gpo-gpo-retro-swb18gb-12-vinyl-record-case-35-count-capacity-removable-lid-rustic-green-with-black-interior_EH4C5.jpg?v=1755491015
push-back-the-shadows
Push Back/The Shadows

Push Back/The Shadows is a Records & LPs from Various Artists

Genre: Rock

Format: Vinyl

Released: 09/01/2017

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/various-artists-push-backthe-shadows_Zb2oX.jpg?v=1755491035
