He is also a noted record producer under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman. Miller is also becoming known for taking on multiple alter-egos, under the aliases Delusional Thomas, Larry Lovestein and The Velvet Revival, respectively. In early 2013, Miller launched REMember Music, his own record label imprint, named after a friend who died. In October 2014, it was reported Miller signed a record deal for him and his label REMember, with Warner Bros. Records. Over the years, he has released solo albums as well as popular mixtapes

Mac Miller proved he had swagger with his 2011 debut Blue Slide Park, and then offered some artistic depth with his adventurous, reckless, and overly wandering sophomore release Watching Movies with the Sound Off. Learning from previous mistakes while retaining all that was good about his second LP, this third dispatch from the heart of Pittsburgh adds a slurry and mush-mouthed style that sounds like the confident Miller is now so laid-back, the words leaving his mouth are quite tired from their uphill climb. The great single "100 Grandkids" suggests it is actually a post-junkie style as "I swear to God, I put the 'hero' in heroin" blasts out loud and proud, although there's no doubting the wiser moments on this third album are all post-rehab and even prouder, as the quest for clarity is the rapper's current vice. Big baller "Brand Name" looks to beat the odds with "To everyone who sells me drugs, don't mix it with that bullshit/I'm tryin' not to join the 27 club" as it does the "American Ninja to these obstacles" with one of the numerous beats from the production team ID Labs, who have a newfound love of luminous soul music. Miller is still digging on the dreamy sound of cloud rap and brings in producers Drew Byrd and Thundercat for the heavenly "Break the Law" ("I killed it like Jeffrey Dahmer killed the '80s"), which features Lil B as guest rapper and motivational speaker. Vinylz is the beatmaker for "Cut the Check" where Chief Keef joins for a stoned mix of trap and dub, plus the cut is dropped in the fourth quarter of an album that has no problem reaching 17 tracks. Getting sober and ridding himself of depression are topics that GO:OD AM touches upon, but rather than his past, the "show and prove" Miller is driven by his rebirth on an interesting and infectious LP that's also his strongest to date.

Tracklist

A1        Doors
A2        Brand Name
A3        Rush Hour
A4        Two Matches
A5        100 Grandkids
B1        Time Flies
B2        Weekend
B3        Clubhouse
B4        In The Bag
C1        Break The Law
C2 Perfect Circle / God Speed
C3        When In Rome
C4        ROS
D1        Cut The Check
D2        Ascension
D3        Jump
D4        The Festival

*Audio and/or tracklist may vary slightly from the vinyl version.

Label: ‎‎Warner Records
Rel. He does so from the start of The Buffet, an album released almost exactly two years after the thin Black Panties. In the voice-only "The Poem," he sets the tone -- make that table -- by announcing that he'll be "toasting your juices all night." If that doesn't get the point across, he makes a slurping sound, for five seconds, that could make Hannibal Lecter shudder. The following "Poetic Sex" involves a sweetened plea, "Baby, feed me," and a defiant punctuation of "My lyrics got a big dick and I just fucked the shit outta y'all." Anyone who has heard more than a handful of Kelly hits could accurately predict what a song titled "Marching Band" entails, and the pied piper comes through with what's easily the set's silliest and catchiest song. With recent R&B hits from younger peers increasingly blunt with lines like "eat the booty like groceries" and "so big it's like a foot is in your mouth," Kelly's form of lewd lyricism is decreasingly distinctive. He gets by here, as he always does, on his regenerative inventory of frisky melodies, and even teams up with some of the artists who have either headlined or assisted the more explicit end of pop-R&B. Jhen? Aiko appears on the Aaliyah-jacking slow jam "Let's Make Some Noise," and though she was recorded in a studio far from Kelly's Chicago-based Chocolate Factory, the duet partners don't hesitate to make like they're beneath the sheets with one another. "Switch Up" likewise features a younger and vulgar R&B artist, Jeremih, who debuted six years earlier with the Kelly-lite "Birthday Sex," though the song is closer to Empire soundtrack filler. The Buffet does have more dimensions than Black Panties, including the enjoyable "Step in the Name of Love" rewrite "Backyard Party" and the throwback, Love Letter-styled "All My Fault." ~ Andy Kellman

Genre: R&B

Format: CD

Released: 12/11/2015

R. The album draws almost exclusively from the third chapter of Rush's life, 1982-89, stressing the notion that their newer material was just as important as their classics. By this time they had eschewed the typical guitar trio sound for one that emphasized layers and texture. Amazingly, they were able to reproduce their studio albums live without taking extra musicians on the road or playing along with sequencers. Although they didn't physically play every instrument, every sound heard live was triggered by Geddy, Alex and Neil using whatever appendage was available.
A SHOW OF HANDS includes all of Rush's mid-'80s hits: "The Big Money," "Subdivisions," "Distant Early Warning" and "Time Stand Still," which featured 'Til Tuesday's Aimee Mann singing backup on a giant video screen. Encouraged by his manager, Morrison and a sextet -- including three players from the Moondance sessions -- hit the studio and delivered His Band & the Street Choir in time for that year's holiday season. Morrison responded to the pressure by relaxing into it. The feel here is loose, often celebratory. He digs deep into his long-held fascination with the New Orleans R&B tradition for inspiration. "Domino" is his highest charting single. The funky guitar lick, left-hand piano rumbling, driving, Memphis-style horns, and pumping bassline kick things off in grand party style. The ballad "Crazy Face," written in 1968, melds acoustic guitar, mandolin, and piano. Morrison's brittle, bluesy saxophone line and a grooving B-3 tip the balance toward R&B. "Give Me a Kiss" has a great Zigaboo Modeliste feel in the horn charts; Fats Domino gets referenced in Alan Hand's piano stroll, and the punchy, doo-wopping tag in the chorus nods at Frankie Ford. "I've Been Working" (which dates to Astral Weeks) is Morrison at his funky best, roaring above a cooking choogle. The acoustic guitar vamp is highlighted by swirling organ, and electric Meters-esque guitar and basslines. Drummer Dahaud Elias Sharr lays down tough breaks and fills throughout as jazzy horns frame the singer. "Call Me Up in Dreamland" features the loose-knit "street choir" (musicians, wives, girlfriends, etc.). It's built on the ragged, Celtic soul-gospel template that Morrison would continue to refer to. The intimate "I'll Be Your Lover Too," adorned only by acoustic guitar and whispering drums, is haunted with the slow-burn passion that would flow so easily on 1972's Saint Dominic's Preview. Second single "Blue Money" is a Rhodes-and-brass driven blues that returns to the NOLA trick bag for fire. The poetic "Virgo Clowns" is painted in a lovely meld of 12-string acoustic guitars and bass clarinet. "Gypsy Queen" is slippery love song, with Morrison offering a gorgeous falsetto. The Celtic soul in "If I Ever Needed Someone" is highlighted by the same trio of backing vocalists that appeared on Moondance's "Crazy Love." The closing title track draws on the swaggering, testifying gospel that inspired that album's "Caravan" (and, played back-to-back, seems to grow right out of it). The street choir's backing is sweeter, balanced by eloquent sax and harmonica breaks. As an album, His Band & the Street Choir may not equal Astral Weeks or Moondance, but the aim was never that lofty. That most of these songs have endured as fan favorites is testament enough to their quality. ~ Thom Jurek

Genre: Rock

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/Van-Morrison-His-Band-And-The-Street-Choir-180-Gram-Vinyl-Import_yVUtq.jpg?v=1742431040
bjork-post-1
Post

Bjork | Post | Vinyl | 12/11/2015

Genre: Pop

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

Best Sellers: Top Seller

Personnel includes: Van Morrison (vocals, acoustic guitar); John Platania (guitar); Jack Shrorer (saxophone); Jeff Labes (keyboards); Garry Malabar (drums). It's unusual for a decade-defining record to come out in that decade's first year, but that was clearly the case with MOONDANCE. While it would have been one of the finest albums of any decade, it clearly marked a turning point both for Van Morrison and for rock as a whole. Coming after 1968's expansive, acoustic, jazz-inflected ASTRAL WEEKS, MOONDANCE marks a complete about-face: instead of looking inward to the depths of his soul, Van turned his gaze towards sunnier climes, offering up a seamless disc of tightly composed and arranged tunes brimming with warmth and energy. Here the R&B influence that had been part of Morrison's tool kit since his days fronting Them truly came to the fore at last. "Crazy Love," "Caravan," and "Brand New Day" could have been covered by any great soul singer, even as they redefined "soul" through the filter of Morrison's eclectic sensibilities. An openhearted record full of truly inspirational moments, MOONDANCE is Van at the absolute top of his game, setting the pace for everyone else to follow. With so many '90s new-jack punks on the scene, Rancid are the real thing--not a band jumping on a bandwagon, or one that waited around for a style to be hip again, but true originals.

Genre: Punk

RSD Date: n/a

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/Rancid-And-Out-Come-The-Wolves_9yknq.jpg?v=1741047389
deep-purple-perfect-strangers-import
Perfect Strangers [Import]

Perfect Strangers [Import] is a Records & LPs from Deep Purple

Genre: Hard Rock

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/deep-purple-perfect-strangers-import_Q2CoW.jpg?v=1759076165
davis-miles-live-in-tokyo-1975
Live in Tokyo 1975

Live in Tokyo 1975 is a Records & LPs from Davis,Miles

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/davismiles-live-in-tokyo-1975_4xs1C.jpg?v=1759368445
frank-zappa-sheik-yerbouti-2lp
SHEIK YERBOUTI (2LP)
Personnel: Frank Zappa, Adrian Belew (voclas, guitar); Tommy Mars (vocals, keyboards); Patrick O'Hearn (vocals, bass); Terry Bozzio (vocals, drums); Ed Mann (vocals, percussion); David Ocker (clarinet); Peter Wolf (keyboards); Napoleon Murphy Brock, Andre Lewis, Randy Thornton, Davey Moire (background vocals).
The folly of others was always Zappa's bread and butter, and living in LA, there was plenty of folly from which to choose. This was not the first album-length cover of Adams' career (he never released his version of the Strokes' Is This It), nor was this his first attempt at 1989. He initially attempted a stark, four-track rendition of the record -- naturally dubbed his Nebraska -- but he wound up settling on "in the style of 'As played by the Smiths'," which was an elegant way of saying Adams' 1989 could easily slide onto a PostModern MTV playlist from 1989-1990 and not ruffle many feathers. Such shimmering sadness is Adams' default mope mode, neatly showcased on Love Is Hell (co-produced by John Porter, who helmed the first Smiths records), and this is certainly a cousin. Sharp guy that he is, Adams realizes the bulk of the record can't all be brokenhearted strums, so not all of 1989 glimmers in a flat black pool. "All You Had to Do Was Stay" surges to a Modern Rock pulse, but he cheekily inverts the exuberance of "Shake It Off," strips the T'Pau and Chvrches out of "Out of the Woods," and softens the steely "Blank Space," thereby turning the first three singles into laments. Nevertheless, there's no disguising how Ryan Adams flips Taylor Swift's 1989 upside-down, turning a moment of triumph into bedsit introspection, a concept that is undoubtedly theoretically interesting, but the record works because Adams doesn't play this as a stunt. He's as canny a producer as he is a conceptualist, coaxing forgotten college rock sounds out of his Pax-Am Studios and treating Swift's originals as text to be interpreted, a move that neither saves nor strengthens the originals but rather highlights the skill of Taylor the songwriter and Adams the musician. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Genre: Pop

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

Only his fourth studio album, NOEL finds Josh Groban already tackling that canonical mainstay of the adult contemporary singer, the Christmas album. Even this early into his career, Groban clearly has a deeply held sense of who he is as a singer and interpreter, and this lovely collection is proof that he's one of the most exciting adult contemporary stars to appear in ages.

Genre: Christmas / Chanukkah

RSD Date: n/a

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

COWBOY ON THE RUN: LIVE IN NEW YORK is a Records & LPs from Quicksilver Messenger Service

Handling Note: **Please allow an additional 72 hours for this item's shipment.**

Format Detail: LP

Genre: Pop

Format: Vinyl

Internal ID: JITFE

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/quicksilver-messenger-service-cowboy-on-the-run-live-in-new-york_IiGWQ.jpg?v=1742428186
deep-purple-stormbringer-180-gram-vinyl-import
Stormbringer (180 Gram Vinyl) [Import]
TracksCredits
1 Stormbringer
2 Love Don't Mean a Thing
3 Holy Man
4 Hold on (Acappella)
5 Lady Double Dealer
6 You Can't Do It Right
7 High Ball Shooter
8 The Gypsy
9 Soldier of Fortune

Genre: Rock

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/deep-purple-stormbringer-180-gram-vinyl-import_VzEyF.jpg?v=1743621382
deep-purple-burn
BURN
The first Deep Purple album to feature Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale, resulted in a much more bluesy effort all round. As one of modern music's most enigmatic and consistently entertaining personalities, Bjork has never shied away from the edge. Whether making straight ahead dance music, exploratory modern rock, or even show-tune-caliber drama, her vision has always remained innovative and original. Her voice jumps, in the space of a syllable, from a kitten-like purr to a banshee's howl, and is never anything less than captivating. HOMOGENIC, her latest musical endeavor, finds her plunging headlong into electronica, a form well-suited to her intense, offbeat phrasing and tone. From the skittering breakbeats and ghostly wails of the opening "Hunter" to the all-out electronic crash that is "Pluto," HOMOGENIC explores the melding of human and machine. The drama of "Bachlorette" finds a lush, rich string section following a tripping electronic beat, giving way to the Icelandic wonder's trademark wail. The juxtaposition of thoroughly modern sounds with conventional elements, such as symphonic arrangements, pipe organ, and accordion, form a central theme, to which HOMOGENIC's title undoubtedly refers. In a couple shots, August Alsina's view is from the ground, at the mercy of an ambiguously clothed man pointing a gun at him. Others show the singer staring at a shattered RIAA plaque for "I Luv This Sh*t," his platinum debut single. Only in the last two is he shown cracking a smile. Altogether, the images closely reflect the percentages of dark and light content that color Alsina's second album. "I done worked my way to the top," he proudly asserts, yet those who prop him up are treated with as much suspicion as those who attempt to knock him down. Success has exacerbated previously existing problems while dealing him a set of new ones. In one verse, for instance, he laments, "I try to buy my momma's love, she don't appreciate it, so I stay inebriated," while in another, he smacks down prospective hangers-on. As with the Downtown: Life Under the Gun EP and Testimony, most of the highlights here involve production from the Exclusives and Knucklehead. "Dreamer," strengthened by a sample of a Eugene Record ballad, shows Alsina spinning realist tales with as much conviction displayed in inward-looking highlights like "Song Cry" and "Hip Hop." Even though Alsina is a soul singer to his core, he continually draws connections to hip-hop, borrowing a song title from Jay-Z, interpolating Naughty by Nature, referencing 2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G. Given the album's immersion in street life and its grim aftershocks -- details ranging from hunger pains to the contemplation of suicide -- it's gratifying to hear it conclude with a sentiment similar to that of the booklet's last page. In the Polow-produced "The Encore," a Ralfi Pagan-sampling throwback anthem with a touch of gospel, Alsina concludes with "Had to get it how I could, I was so misunderstood out the hood, now it's all good." Its respite is much more substantive than what's served in the hedonistic singles that feature Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. ~ Andy Kellman

Genre: Pop

Format: CD

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/august-alsina-this-thing-calleex_b25j4_55dd4e83-f055-46fd-a9fd-0907e27ab0f0.jpg?v=1758906686
art-blakey-complete-blue-note-collection-1954-1957
COMPLETE BLUE NOTE COLLECTION: 1954-1957

COMPLETE BLUE NOTE COLLECTION: 1954-1957 is a Music CDs from Art Blakey

Genre: Jazz

Format: CD

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/art-blakey-complete-blue-note-collection-1954-1957_glr9B_efd23fd3-1f95-4b90-a988-3a8bc3f92dcb.jpg?v=1758932186
matthew-trio-shipp-to-duke
TO DUKE
Tributee: Duke Ellington.
Personnel: Matthew Shipp (piano); Michael Bisio (double bass); Whit Dickey (drums).
Audio Mixer: MP Kuo.
Liner Note Author: Steve Dalachinsky.
Recording information: LowFish Studio, New York, NY (06/10/2014).

Genre: Pop

Format: CD

Released: 12/11/2015

Faithless 2.0 is a Records & LPs from Faithless

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

Jammys Dub Encounter is a Records & LPs from Keith Hudson

Handling Note: **Please allow an additional 72 hours for this item's shipment.**

Format Detail: LP

Genre: Reggae

Format: Vinyl

Internal ID: JITFE

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/Keith-Hudson-Jammys-Dub-Encounter_Z0yGw.jpg?v=1758743427
the-beach-boys-beach-boys-party-uncovered-and-unplugged
Beach Boys' Party! When she returned three years later with Art Angels, her music was even more paradoxical; Claire Boucher's fourth album is wilder, more ambitious, and -- at least on the surface -- more accessible than her breakthrough. This time, Boucher's production draws attention to all the sounds and styles she's juggling: "laughing and not being normal" begins things with symphonic pomp, its trilling vocals, piano filigrees, and pizzicato strings signaling that this album is an event. "SCREAM," a fiery duet with Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes, incorporates drumline-tinged beats -- as well as Boucher's spine-tingling howls -- into its iconoclastic feminine power, while "Easily" and "Artangels" touch on different but equally shiny flavors of late-'90s pop without a trace of irony. Elsewhere, "World Princess, Pt. 2" and "Venus Fly," which features Janelle Mon?e -- one of the few artists who rivals Grimes when it comes to high-concept, utterly catchy music -- bring Visions' R&B leanings to the fore. It could all lead to sonic whiplash, but Boucher's staunchly independent viewpoint is the glue that holds together Art Angels. She matches the album's bolder sounds with songwriting that's more daring and, at times, more aggressive. On "Kill V. Maim," she combines her perkiest vocals and angriest lyrics, topping beats that land like bombs with cheerleader-like chanting. A reworked version of "Realiti" underscores how driven she sounds here; her declarations of independence are catchier than ever, blending the cute and the formidable until they're one and the same. Similarly, Boucher explores how destruction and creation are joined at the hip in vivid, hooky songs like "Flesh Without Blood," where ending a relationship means self-preservation, and the standout "California," where bliss and disaster meet ("When the ocean rises above the ground/Maybe I'll drown") with an unexpected but very welcome twang. "I'll never be your dream girl," Boucher sings on "Butterfly," but she adds "you could be anything," making the connection between honoring yourself and ignoring others' expectations clear. She does both consistently -- and consistently well -- with Art Angels' truly independent pop. ~ Heather Phares

Handling Note: **Please allow an additional 72 hours for this item's shipment.**

Format Detail: LP standard Jacket

Genre: Pop

RSD Date: n/a

Format: Vinyl

Internal ID: JITRE

Released: 12/11/2015

earl-sweatshirt-i-dont-like-shit-i-dont-go-outside-an-album-by-earl-sweatshirt-explicit-content-download-insert
I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside: An Album By Earl Sweatshirt [Explicit Content] (Download Insert)

Aptly titled with the off-putting I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside, Earl Sweatshirt's sophomore effort is a crushing confessional that refuses to get off the couch, even if it's beautiful outside. "I ain't been outside for a minute, I've been livin' what I wrote" the Odd Future MC snaps on "Guilt," but then again, why bother as adoring fans ("They the reason that the paper in your trousers thick") can't help Earl with the recent death of a family member (his grandmother) and entering your twenties jaded about drugs (there's a love/hate relationship with Xanax and/or weed that pops up here and there) must be rough. Eighteen years later, it was expanded and widely reissued as a stopgap between the artist's second and third albums, the latter of which had yet to materialize. The 1996 release consisted of roughly two-thirds of the September 14, 1995 performance, with the selections presented out of sequence. The 2014 release contains the whole set, from the introduction to the rapt applause at the close of an 11-minute "Brown Sugar." In the U.K., D'Angelo's first single was three weeks away from release, yet the audience knew it from the first notes. In the States, the debut album from the 21 year-old was only two months old, on its way to platinum status. In the liner notes, manager Alan Leeds recalls that D'Angelo had done only a few gigs. Indeed, the early portion of this set sounds tentative. It begins with two-minute versions of Mandrill's "Fencewalk" and Ohio Players' "Sweet Sticky Thing," in which D'Angelo's trio of female background vocalists -- including collaborator Angie Stone, between pioneering rap group Sequence and her solo career -- are more prominent. From there, D'Angelo and his band roll through over half of the debut's songs, including an uptempo version of "Jonz in My Bonz" (co-written by Stone) and a livelier "Lady," greatly enhanced by the extra voices. There are other covers, not just one of Smokey Robinson and Marv Tarplin's "Cruisin'." Al Green's "I'm Glad You're Mine" includes a showcase for guitarist Mike Campbell, an essential player in Voodoo, while a joyously reverent "Can't Hide Love" -- written by Skip Scarborough for Creative Source, made more popular by Earth, Wind & Fire, and practically a standard -- gets another instant crowd reaction. Jimi had long been gone when this album was recorded in 1974. But it is almost superfluous to look back to the legendary Hendrix if you focus on the great Gil Evans. After such milestones as “Birth Of The Cool” and “Sketches Of Spain” it isn’t difficult to regard these late audiophile masterpieces as a logical development of Evans’s exceptional skill as an arranger.

When you listen – or rather experience – how the crystal-clear sound in “Angel” is heightened to an emphatic ballad on the saxophone, or how rich soulful vocals storm ahead in a funky style (“Crosstown Traffic”), or fluffy, cloud-like sounds are built up on the flutes in “Castles Made From Sand”, then it is no longer of importance who thought out the music. It is sufficient that it exists and is pleasing to all who hear it. It is also unimportant whether one reveres Hendrix’s immemorable melodies or whether one pays homage to Evans’s visionary soundworld: a recording such as this could only be born of the two.

180 gram LP w/ Standard Sleeve

Recording: 1974 at RCA’s Studio B, New York City, by Bob Simpson

RCA CPL 1-0667 -Artist-Gil Evans and His Orchestra

Handling Note: **Please allow an additional 5 business days for this item's shipment.**

Format Detail: LP Black

Genre: Pop

RSD Date: DDD

Format: Vinyl

Internal ID: JIT

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/evansgil-orchestra-plays-the-music-of-jimi-hendrix_3qBrY.jpg?v=1759316961
gary-numan-telekon
TELEKON
TELEKON contains five bonus tracks which includes an 'A' side, 'B' side singles and an out-take.
Personnel includes: Gary Numan (vocals, guitar, piano, Mini-Moog, Arp); R. Numan could have easily created "Cars, Part II," but chose not to do so. Instead, the songs on TELEKON are spikier and almost willfully abstruse, wrapping Numan's usual J.G. Ballard and Philip K. Dick-inspired lyrics of anomie and isolation in complex synthesizer music. TELEKON often recalls some of the Krautrock bands of the '70s, particularly Faust and the knottier elements of Amon Duul II. In the UK, Numan was still a big enough star that the album's single, the chilly "I Die You Die," was a substantial hit. But the lack of a clever follow-up to "Cars" resigned Numan to one-hit-wonder status for all in the US except his devoted cult following. No other records are credited to Kurt Cobain, and this album, in either its single- or double-disc edition, wouldn't exist if Morgan hadn't stumbled upon a cache of homemade cassettes when researching his film. An unflinching, intimate portrait of the young artist at work, Montage of Heck is cobbled together from home recordings, some previously leaked on Nirvana bootlegs in the '90s (mainly the Outcesticide series), that come tantalizing close to taking the form of a rough demo but are amorphous enough to be called "free form" or "experimental." Cobain made these tapes with no expectation they'd ever be heard. Based on a few, including the opening "The Yodel Song," it's likely he never considered the tape again after he pressed the stop button. Certainly, there's some historical merit in exploring early drafts, demos, and outtakes from an important figure, particularly when it comes to the handful of demos ("Clean Up Before She Comes," "Sappy," "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle") here. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Genre: Rock

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/kurt-cobain-montage-of-heexlp_Q4WZg.jpg?v=1759408911
the-weeknd-beauty-behind-the-madness-2-lp
Beauty Behind the Madness (2 LP)

All bets regarding Abel Tesfaye's career arc were off once Trilogy, material previously released at no (financial) cost to the listener, went platinum. For a period after that, it seemed like the singer had peaked just short of pop-star status. His eager congregation pushed Kiss Land, the proper debut, to number two in the U.S., yet none of its singles, not even the one that featured Drake, reached the Hot 100. "Love Me Harder," a duet with labelmate Ariana Grande released in 2014, proved to be a masterstroke. It put Tesfaye in the Top Ten for the first time and began a streak of similarly effective singles that preceded -- and are included on -- Beauty Behind the Madness. "Earned It," a ballad recorded for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, showed that he could adapt to a traditional pop backdrop. That cut a path for "The Hills," in which Tesfaye alleviated his "day one" base with a typically degenerate slow jam, co-produced by Illangelo, that affirmed "When I'm fucked up, that's the real me" while taking the toxic narrative a step further with lines like "Drugs started feelin' like it's decaf." And then "Can't Feel My Face," a sleek slice of retro-modern disco-funk produced by Max Martin and Ali Payami, landed in June 2015. An obvious pop move, it worked -- it went to number one in the U.S. and several other territories. Tesfaye skillfully delivered his biggest hooks as he sang about dependency in that part-anguished, part-euphoric fashion derived from Michael Jackson. Like its advance singles, the rest of Beauty Behind the Madness is R&B and pop as drug-den paella: chemical and sexual abasement, self-loathing, and self-absorbed belligerence over narcotized sludge and less expected moves that peak with the wholly sweet "As You Are" and crest with a big-band diversion on "Losers." Collaborations with Kanye West, Ed Sheeran, and Lana Del Rey add star power; the last of that pack contributes to a moment where Tesfaye turns another corner by acknowledging a dead end through the fog, "addicted to a life that's so empty and so cold." The commercial strides are obvious. The creative advancements are less apparent, but they're in there. ~ Andy Kellman

Genre: Pop

RSD Date: n/a

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

Best Sellers: Top50

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/files/the-weeknd-beauty-behind-the-madness-2-lp_aJR0v.jpg?v=1744828398
earl-sweatshirt-doris-1
DORIS

With the 2010 drop of his debut mixtape, Earl, rapper Earl Sweatshirt became one of the main reasons the underground rap crew Odd Future went from obscurity to everywhere. Then, Earl's mom decided he was an "at risk" kid (not because of his ugly, ugly music, but because he was "getting in trouble"), so off to the Coral Reef Academy in Samoa he went, quickly falling into the category of "more of a legend than rapper" as Odd Future broke out the "Free Earl" T-shirts with no other explanation for his absence. As such, his official debut falls into the category of "highly anticipated," but the real story behind the murky and free-flowing -- almost globular -- Doris is that the morbid horror-show rapper heard previously has grown into an observational maverick-style artist, offering downtrodden and even dour rhymes that come off like MF Doom recounting his visit to the Grand Guignol. Swaying slowly with Tibetan monk vocals in the distance, the ghostly "Hive" with Vince Staples and Casey Veggies offers the vivid "Come around we gun 'em down/Bodies... piled... Auschwitz," while the Tyler, the Creator feature "Whoa" kicks off with the Odd Future leader declaring "This ain't no 2010 sh*t," which Earl proves by dropping crooked rhymes about pot ("Steaming tubes of poop and twisted doobies full of euphemisms") and Harry Potter ("Bruising gimmicks with the broom he usually use for Quidditch"). MF Doom fans will be familiar with the style, and while the rumored Doom collaboration does not wind up on the final Doris, another obvious influence, RZA, is here, appearing on the aptly titled "Molasses," a slow, rich mix of Wu-Tang and Wolf Gang flavors. Mac Miller's recent embrace of the underground pays dividends during the bent and broken "Guild," while Frank Ocean influences Earl to sing his own blues on the great "Sunday" ("Nightmares got more vivid when I stopped smoking pot/And lovin' you's a little different, I don't like you a lot"). Underneath all this mumbled madness are some truly wonderful sounds -- much of it made by Earl under his alias randomblackguy -- as "Chum" runs like an underground indie suite of excellent ideas while "Centurion" twists a Krautrock and Can sample into something thug and stately. All that said, Doris is unsettled, messy, and takes a bit to sort, but there are codes to crack and rich rewards to reap, so enter with an open mind and prepare to leave exhausted. ~ David Jeffries

Genre: Pop

Format: Vinyl

Released: 12/11/2015

Best Sellers: Top Seller

Brand New Sealed | Ludwig Van Beethoven | Piano Concerto No. 3 In C Minor | Vinyl | Release Date: 12/11/2015 | Record Label: Imports

Released: 12/11/2015

Format: Vinyl

Genre: Orchestral & Symphonic

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0654/3523/8633/products/ludwig-van-beethoven-piano-concerto-no-3-in-c-minor-ogv-hol_Ndfxe.jpg?v=1737971424
deee-lite-world-clique-180-gram-vinyl-import
World Clique (180 Gram Vinyl) [Import]
TracksCredits
1 Good Beat
2 Power of Love
3 Try Me on...
