Their 1984 debut, FORVER YOUNG, features somber but catchy synth-pop not unlike late Ultravox. Three songs-- the title track, \"The Jet Set\" and \"Sounds Like A Melody\"--were sizeable hits, and a fourth, the brooding and atmospheric \"Big In Japan\" (ostensibly about heroin addiction) was a worldwide Top Ten smash. Unfortunately, by the time of Alphaville's 1986 follow-up, synth-pop was no longer a chart concern, and the trio quickly faded from sight.","brand":"Alphaville","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":44587587109097,"sku":"6VRZ48-7E9H-00","price":43.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/3523\/8633\/files\/alphaville-forever-young-import_KL4lv_308a4133-d872-43d3-9e1e-be199a8184d2.jpg?v=1759141077","url":"https:\/\/www.vibinvinyl.com\/products\/alphaville-forever-young-import","provider":"Vibin' Vinyl","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
