Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Most in-stock new music ships within 1–2 business days. Orders fulfilled by our distribution partners typically ship quickly, while made-to-order artist merchandise usually ships within 5–7 business days. Pre-owned items ship directly from Vibin' Vinyl within 2–3 business days.

Why did my order arrive in multiple packages?

Some orders ship from different fulfillment locations. New music, artist merchandise, and pre-owned items may ship separately. Preorders also ship separately from in-stock items so your available items aren't delayed.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, Vibin' Vinyl ships within the United States only. We hope to offer international shipping in the future.

How can I track my order?

You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order ships.

How are records packaged for shipping?

Every order is carefully packaged to help protect your purchase during transit. We use appropriate packaging materials designed to minimize movement and help your records, CDs, cassettes, and other media arrive safely.

Products

Are your products brand new?

Unless clearly identified as Pre-Owned, all music and merchandise sold by Vibin' Vinyl is new.

How are pre-owned items graded?

Every pre-owned item is individually inspected and accurately described before being listed for sale.

Please visit our Condition Guide to learn how we grade media and packaging, and our Pre-Owned Promise to learn how we stand behind every pre-owned purchase.

What does Mint (M), Near Mint (NM), or VG+ mean?

These are industry-standard condition grades used to describe the overall condition of pre-owned music and media.

For a complete explanation of every grade, please visit our Condition Guide.

Are the photos on pre-owned listings the exact item?

Whenever possible, pre-owned listings use photographs of the actual item being sold. If a stock image is used, it will be clearly identified and the product description will accurately describe the item's condition.

What is an Indie Exclusive?

Indie Exclusive editions are special releases made available through independent record stores. These editions may include exclusive vinyl colors, alternate artwork, bonus content, or limited packaging not available through other retailers.

What is an Import?

An import is an officially licensed music release manufactured for sale in another country. Imported editions may include unique artwork, bonus tracks, obi strips, alternate packaging, or other regional variations unavailable on domestic releases.

Because imports are manufactured and distributed internationally, they may cost more than domestic editions.

What is an Unofficial Release?

An Unofficial Release is a recording produced without authorization from the original artist or record label. These releases may include live performances, radio broadcasts, demos, or unofficial reissues that were never officially released.

Whenever Vibin' Vinyl offers an unofficial release, it will always be clearly identified in the product title and description so you know exactly what you're purchasing.

What's the difference between an Import and an Unofficial Release?

Although the terms are sometimes confused, they are very different.

Import

  • Officially licensed
  • Manufactured for another country
  • Completely legitimate release
  • May include exclusive packaging or bonus content

Unofficial Release

  • Not authorized by the artist or record label
  • May contain live recordings, demos, broadcasts, or unofficial reissues
  • Clearly identified on the product page whenever offered by Vibin' Vinyl

Why do some albums have different track listings?

Track listings can vary depending on the edition, country of manufacture, format, or record label.

Some releases include:

  • Bonus tracks
  • Japanese-exclusive songs
  • Vinyl-exclusive tracks
  • Deluxe editions
  • Alternate sequencing

Whenever applicable, Vibin' Vinyl provides the specific track listing for the edition being sold.

Why do some records cost more than others?

Pricing can vary based on several factors, including:

  • Limited production runs
  • Out-of-print availability
  • Colored vinyl variants
  • Import status
  • Deluxe packaging
  • Collector demand
  • Record Store Day exclusives

Do colored vinyl records sound different?

Modern colored vinyl is generally manufactured to the same quality standards as traditional black vinyl. Sound quality depends far more on the mastering and pressing quality than the vinyl color itself.

What is Record Store Day?

Record Store Day (RSD) is an annual celebration of independent record stores featuring exclusive, limited-edition music releases available in limited quantities.

Collecting

I'm new to collecting. Where should I start?

Whether you're collecting vinyl, CDs, cassettes, or other physical media, our Collector's Guide is a great place to begin. It covers common formats, editions, collecting tips, and helpful information for new and experienced collectors alike.

What's the difference between a first pressing and a repress?

A first pressing is part of the initial production run of a release. A repress is manufactured later, often using the same mastering or updated production materials.

Some collectors prefer first pressings, while others simply seek the best-sounding or most affordable edition.

Are imports worth buying?

Many collectors enjoy imports because they may feature exclusive artwork, bonus tracks, unique packaging, obi strips, or editions unavailable in the United States.

Whether an import is "worth it" depends on your collecting goals and the specific release.

New Releases & Preorders

What is a preorder?

A preorder allows you to reserve an upcoming release before its official release date.

Can release dates change?

Yes. Record labels occasionally adjust release dates due to manufacturing or distribution delays. If a release date changes, we'll update the product page whenever possible.

Will my preorder ship with my in-stock items?

No. Preorders ship separately from in-stock items to avoid delaying available products.

Returns & Payments

What is your return policy?

Please visit our Returns & Refunds Policy for complete information regarding eligible returns, exchanges, and refund requirements.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be canceled before they begin processing. Once an order has shipped, it must follow our Returns & Refunds Policy.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged or you believe there was an issue during shipping, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

Pre-Owned Items

What is the Pre-Owned Promise?

Our Pre-Owned Promise reflects our commitment to honest grading, accurate descriptions, and excellent customer service.

If a pre-owned item arrives significantly different from its stated condition, we'll work with you to make it right.

Do you clean pre-owned records?

When appropriate, pre-owned records may be lightly cleaned before listing. However, unless otherwise stated, buyers should expect that additional cleaning may further improve playback depending on the record's condition.
