Release Overview
Björk’s Biophilia Live captures the human element of her ambitious multimedia project through a complete audiovisual concert experience. Recorded at London’s Alexandra Palace on September 3, 2013, the performance brings together Björk’s vocals, electronic production, Icelandic choir, science-inspired visuals, and an extraordinary collection of traditional, digital, and custom-built instruments.
Directed by Nick Fenton and Peter Strickland, the concert film presents every song from Biophilia alongside selections from across Björk’s catalog, including “Hidden Place,” “Possibly Maybe,” “Isobel,” “One Day,” “Náttúra,” and “Declare Independence.” The result connects live performance, music, nature, science, and visual art within one immersive production.
This 2014 audiovisual package presents the complete 20-track performance across three black vinyl records and an accompanying DVD. The edition is housed in a tri-fold foil-embossed sleeve with illustrated inner sleeves, making it a substantial physical release for collectors of Björk’s live recordings and concert films.
