Björk’s Fossora explores grounding, ancestry, grief, family, and renewal through an earthy fusion of bass clarinets, choir, strings, electronic production, and forceful gabber-inspired rhythms. Released in 2022, the album marked a shift away from the airy atmosphere of Utopia toward dense low-end, physical percussion, and imagery rooted in soil, fungi, and digging beneath the surface.
