Kingfish/Bob Weir: Bob Weir; Matthew Kelly (vocals, guitar, harmonica); Robby Hoddinott (guitar, slide guitar); Dave Torbert (bass guitar); Chris Herold. Personnel: Bob Weir (vocals, guitar); Dave Torbert (vocals); J.D. Sharp (string synthesizer); Chris Herold (drums, percussion). Additional personnel: Pablo Green (percussion); J.D. Sharp. Audio Mixers: Dan Healy ; Kingfish. Recording information: Ace's. All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology. Photographer: Bobby Marks. Arranger: Kingfish. A hot little bar band that stayed close to rock's roots, Kingfish benefitted from the presence of Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir. There's a very strong song selection, featuring "Jump for Joy," "Lazy Lightning," "Wild Northland," "Big Iron," "Goodby Yer Honor," "Asia Minor," and more. Besides Weir, players on this release include Dave Torbert, Matthew Kelly, Robby Hoddinott, and Chris Herold. This album featured jams to challenge The Dead's but also knew when to come back to earth. ~ Jeff Tamarkin & Chip Renner
