Transparent Yellow Vinyl. Originally released in 1967, Chelsea Girl is the remarkable solo debut from Nico and one of the defining albums of the late-60s underground scene. Recorded shortly after her appearance on The Velvet Underground & Nico, the album brings together an extraordinary cast of contributors, including Lou Reed, John Cale and Sterling Morrison of The Velvet Underground, alongside songs by Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan and Tim Hardin. Produced by legendary Columbia and Verve producer Tom Wilson, Chelsea Girl blends chamber folk, baroque pop and melancholic balladry, showcasing Nico's unmistakable voice on timeless recordings such as "These Days," "The Fairest Of The Seasons," and "I'll Keep It With Mine." The album appeared in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die and is regularly cited among the greatest and most influential albums of the 1960s. This reissue is pressed on Transparent Yellow vinyl, celebrating a record whose haunting beauty and enduring influence continue to resonate with generations of listeners.
