Release Overview
!!! (Chk Chk Chk) extend the dancefloor energy of Louden Up Now with Hello? Is This Thing On?, a three-track 12-inch vinyl single released by Touch and Go Records in 2004. Built around one of the album’s standout tracks, the release pairs the original LP version with alternate material designed for the club and DJ-oriented side of the band’s sound.
The A-side features the LP version of “Hello? Is This Thing On?” alongside a remix of “Sunday 5:17 AM.” The B-side is devoted to Thomas N’ Eric’s extended Rub and Tug Throwdown remix of the title track, pushing !!!’s blend of dance-punk, house, electro, funk, and post-punk further onto the dancefloor.
This U.S. 12-inch edition was released by Touch and Go Records as catalog number TG260 during the Louden Up Now era, making it a distinctive companion piece for collectors exploring !!!’s early singles and remix releases.
Why You’ll Love It
If Louden Up Now is already part of your collection, Hello? Is This Thing On? expands the album’s club-oriented side with alternate versions unavailable in the standard album sequence. Its combination of the LP recording, a remix of “Sunday 5:17 AM,” and the extended Rub and Tug treatment makes this 12-inch especially appealing to !!! fans, remix collectors, and DJs.
