Playlist: The Very Best of Coheed and Cambria collects 14 cuts from the epic, New York progressive metal outfit. The group's penchant for crafting highly conceptual slabs of fantasy and science fiction-fueled hard rock makes for some difficult compiling, but the folks at Playlist have managed to dutifully represent the band's mammoth scope by balancing the singles ("Welcome Home" and "Favor House Atlantic") with fan favorites and rarities, offering listeners not yet in the fold the opportunity to sample some of the outfit's better wares. ~ James Christopher Monger
