Description Split Enz present 'Enzyclopedia', a new series exploring the enduring musical legacy of one of New Zealand's most influential and innovative groups. 'Enzyclopedia Volumes One & Two' marks 50 years since the release of the band's debut album 'Mental Notes' with a deluxe 3-LP boxset compiled in collaboration with the band. The first LP features 'Mental Notes' (1975), the bold and theatrical debut album, newly remastered from transfers of the original master tapes. The second LP showcases Eddie Rayner's new stereo mixes of 'Second Thoughts' (1976), the band's UK-recorded follow up which set the stage for their international breakthrough. Rounding out the set, is 'The Beginning Of The Enz', which includes additional new stereo mixes from Eddie Rayner on side A, with remastered versions of the early Enz singles on side B, in an exclusive new sleeve designed by Noel Crombie. The audio has been newly remastered by Phil Kinrade, with lacquers cut by Harry Rudkins at AIR Studios. Pressed on three 140g vinyl, housed in heavy-stock inner sleeves within a rigid slipcase, accompanied by an obi-strip, and a 40-page booklet with a wealth of previously unpublished photographs, rare memorabilia, and commentary by Tim Finn, Eddie Rayner, Wally Wilkinson, Mike Chunn, and Phil Manzanera. An expanded five-CD edition is also available which includes additional bonus material and a remastered version of the original 'Second Thoughts' stereo mix.
