Album Overview
Fever Ray revisits the world of Plunge with Plunge Remix, a collection of reinterpretations drawn from the acclaimed 2017 studio album. Originally released individually across the Plunge era, the remixes bring together artists and producers who reshape Karin Dreijer’s songs through experimental electronic music, club rhythms, techno, house, and other left-field approaches.
This vinyl edition presents a specially curated 10-track sequence featuring contributions from Tami T, Bunny Michael, Faka, Olof Dreijer, Glasser, Sissel Wincent, Paula Temple, Aasthma, DJ Marfox, and Tzusing. The collection moves from the pulsing reinterpretation of “Mustn’t Hurry” by Tami T through radically transformed versions of “Wanna Sip,” “This Country,” and “Plunge.”
The remixers were selected with an emphasis on transforming the original material into music built for movement and the dancefloor. The result extends the themes and emotional intensity of Plunge while giving each track a distinct identity shaped by its respective remixer.
This 2019 U.S. edition presents the 10-track vinyl version of Plunge Remix across two black vinyl records in a gatefold sleeve with a gloss poster, released through Mute Records.
