Album Overview
Fever Ray explores love, intimacy, identity, and self-preservation on Radical Romantics, the third studio album from Karin Dreijer. Following 2017’s Plunge, the record brings together electronic pop, experimental production, and emotionally direct songwriting while examining the attraction, vulnerability, and uncertainty surrounding romantic connection.
The 10-track album opens with “What They Call Us” before moving through “Shiver,” “New Utensils,” “Kandy,” and “Even It Out.” Side two continues with “Looking for a Ghost,” “Carbon Dioxide,” “North,” and “Tapping Fingers,” before closing with the atmospheric “Bottom of the Ocean.”
Radical Romantics features an extensive group of collaborators, including Olof Dreijer, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Vessel, Nídia, and Aasthma. The album connects elements of Fever Ray’s earlier work and The Knife with forward-looking electronic production shaped by rhythm, texture, vulnerability, and transformation.
This 2023 U.S./Canada limited edition presents the complete album on individually numbered translucent red vinyl in a gatefold jacket with a printed inner sleeve and A2 folded poster through Mute Records.
