Album Overview
Hot Chip return with A Bath Full of Ecstasy, their seventh studio album and a vibrant exploration of the emotional space between euphoria and melancholy. Originally released in 2019 through Domino, the album combines colorful melodies, electronic pop rhythms, indie electronic textures, and dancefloor energy with some of the band’s most emotionally open songwriting.
Recorded in Paris and London, A Bath Full of Ecstasy marked the first time Hot Chip brought outside producers into the creative process. The band worked with Philippe Zdar, known for his work with Cassius and Phoenix, and Rodaidh McDonald, whose credits include The xx, Sampha, and David Byrne. The collaboration helped shape a record that feels both unmistakably Hot Chip and newly expansive, balancing club-driven production with warmth, intimacy, and pop immediacy.
This indie-exclusive deluxe edition is pressed on two 180-gram crystal-clear vinyl records and features alternate artwork by Jeremy Deller and Fraser Muggeridge. Released by Domino as catalog number WIGLP375X, the edition also includes a digital download card and presents the complete nine-track album across four sides.
