Album Overview
Hot Chip look back across more than two decades of music with Joy in Repetition, their first career-spanning anthology. Released in 2025 through Domino, the collection traces the band’s evolution from the breakthrough era of The Warning through later albums including Made in the Dark, One Life Stand, In Our Heads, Why Make Sense?, A Bath Full of Ecstasy, and Freakout/Release.
Across 15 tracks, Joy in Repetition brings together many of Hot Chip’s defining songs, including “Ready for the Floor,” “Boy from School,” “Over and Over,” “I Feel Better,” “Flutes,” “Need You Now,” “Huarache Lights,” and “Melody of Love.” The collection also introduces “Devotion,” a new track that combines the group’s melodic pop instincts with the electronic rhythms and dancefloor energy that have remained central to their sound.
This indie-exclusive edition is pressed on two white vinyl records and comes housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves and a download code. The album artwork was created by legendary British pop artist Sir Peter Blake, whose design features a cymbal-playing monkey as a visual nod to “Over and Over.”
