The complete early Scattered Remnants era finally arrives on vinyl, collecting two cult death metal classics on a single release.
For the first time ever, Scattered Remnants' earliest recordings are united on vinyl in one definitive archival release, collecting the band's legendary 1994 demo Procreating Mass Carnage alongside their long-revered 1995 EP Inherent Perversion.
Emerging from the Massachusetts underground during death metal's most formative era, Scattered Remnants built their reputation through sheer brutality, crafting a sound rooted in primitive aggression, grotesque atmosphere, and relentlessly punishing grooves. Though the band remained largely underground during their original existence, both recordings gradually developed cult status among tape traders, collectors, and devotees of early brutal death metal. Originally released in 1994, Procreating Mass Carnage captured the raw beginnings of the band's descent into extremity. Filthy, bludgeoning, and unapologetically primitive, the demo stands as an authentic document of underground death metal before the genre's brutal movement had fully crystallized. One year later, Scattered Remnants refined that violence into Inherent Perversion, an EP now regarded by many fans as one of the most overlooked and punishing brutal death metal releases of the 1990s. Remarkably, neither the demo nor the EP have ever been pressed on vinyl. Together, these recordings document the evolution of Scattered Remnants from savage underground obscurity into one of the era's most respected cult names. Massive riffs, cavernous vocals, suffocating atmosphere, and barbaric groove collide across both releases, showcasing the roots of a sound that would later influence generations of brutal death metal. Now restored as part of a complete archival campaign celebrating the recorded works of Scattered Remnants, this vinyl edition finally gives these historic recordings the definitive analog presentation they have long deserved.
