With his smooth, sinuous voice and meticulously produced, carefully composed songs, Keith Washington is a strong contender to inherit the male R&B singer mantle. On KW, he expands upon the successes, both commercial and artistic of his previous release. Washington manages to be both urgently emotional and strikingly subtle in his vocalizing. In the interest of variety, he adds a little hip-hop flavor to the proceedings via some guest rappers, but make no mistake, this is contemporary R&B at it's best.
