LCD Soundsystem’s “Home” receives an officially sanctioned reworking from producer Tom Sharkett on this 2025 12-inch single. Originally appearing as the closing track on This Is Happening in 2010, “Home” was reshaped by Sharkett as a personal edit before unexpectedly finding its way back to the band.
The edit first gained attention after NTS Radio’s Flo Dill played it during her Breakfast Show. After LCD Soundsystem heard the unofficial version and embraced Sharkett’s interpretation, DFA moved to give the edit an official release. The result retains the emotional core of the original while emphasizing its repetitive groove, electronic pulse, and dancefloor appeal.
This European import 12-inch vinyl edition pairs the vocal version of “Home (Tom Sharkett Edit)” with an instrumental version on the reverse. Pressed on black vinyl at 45 RPM, the release was issued through DFA and Parlophone in September 2025.
