Album Overview
No Ceilings is a Lil Wayne mixtape originally released in 2009 during one of the most prolific periods of his career. Built around Wayne rapping over instrumentals associated with other popular hip-hop records of the era, the project became one of the defining mixtapes in his catalog and a showcase for his punchlines, wordplay, and freewheeling approach to reinterpretation.
This 2020 physical edition presents a condensed twelve-track version of the project, including “Surf Swag,” “YM Wasted,” “Shoes,” “Banned,” “Wayne on Me,” “I'm Single,” and the bonus track “Kobe Bryant.” Guest appearances include Fre$h, Gudda Gudda, Tyga, Lucci Lou, Drake, and others.
Released for Record Store Day Black Friday 2020, this edition marked the first time No Ceilings was issued on CD. The release was limited to 5,000 copies and comes packaged in a standard jewel case with an eight-page booklet.
