This is part of Legacy's Super Hits series. Paul Young's edition of Columbia/Legacy's budget-priced SUPER HITS compilation series is an inexpensive summation of Young's '80s tenure with the label. The selection focuses on his classic blue-eyed-soul singles, "Come Back and Stay," "Everytime You Go Away," and "Bite the Hand That Feeds." Also featured are several superlative covers, among them Marvin Gaye's "Wherever I Lay My Hat," The Chi-Lites' "Oh Girl," Ann Peebles' "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down," and Young's unusual rearrangement of Joy Division's classic "Love Will Tear Us Apart." The ten-track collection also includes Young's jazzy duet with Chaka Khan ("Heaven Can Wait") and "This Means Anything" and "I Was In Chains," two album tracks from the singer's most successful release, THE SECRET OF ASSOCIATION. This collection is a useful introduction to Young, serving as a handy gathering of his biggest and best songs.
