This is an Enhanced CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. The Enhanced portion includes band interviews, video footage, photos and bios. Prong: Tommy Victor (vocals, guitar); Paul Raven (bass); Ted Parsons (drums). Additional personnel: Charlie Clouser (keyboards, drum programming); Paula Jones (programming). Prong continues to refine their piercing attack on Rude Awakening, while they are simultaneously expanding their sonic vocabularly. Throughout the record, they continue to mix in industrial rhythms and effects -- there are samples scattered all over the album -- but the key to the success of Rude Awakening is the precise, drilling effect of the group's jackhammer riffs. The relentless, brutal pounding of Prong's attack masks the band's inventive song structures.
