Shygirl celebrates five years of ALIAS with this anniversary edition of the genre-blurring EP that helped establish her as one of the most distinctive voices in experimental electronic and club music. Originally released in 2020, ALIAS arrived before her 2022 debut album Nymph and brought together futuristic production, grime-influenced delivery, experimental pop, and high-energy club sounds across seven tightly constructed tracks.
Featuring production from collaborators including Sega Bodega, SOPHIE, Kai Whiston, Oscar Scheller, Happa, and Karma Kid, the EP moves from the elastic rhythms of “TWELVE” and “SLIME” to the industrial intensity of “FREAK,” the pop-minded pulse of “TASTY,” and the euphoric closing track “SIREN.”
