Shygirl enters a new chapter with SWALLOW!, her second studio album and the follow-up to 2022’s Nymph. Described by Shygirl as a reintroduction, the record expands beyond the electronic underground sound that first established her, bringing more spacious and emotionally focused songwriting into the world of electronica she has continued to shape.
The album explores intimacy, romance, transformation, and the feeling of finding perspective within a much larger world. Recorded with collaborators including Karma Kid and Casey MQ, SWALLOW! brings together electronic production with strings, guitar, and more organic instrumentation while placing greater emphasis on Shygirl’s melodic songwriting and vocal performance.
The SWALLOW! era begins with “Alyse” and “Lucky[Hymn],” offering the first glimpses into the album’s more intimate and expansive direction. The complete album contains 11 songs, with additional track titles still to be officially revealed.
