Album Overview
Physical Thrills is the sixth studio album from Silversun Pickups and the follow-up to 2019’s Widow’s Weeds. Released in 2022, the album was produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Billy Bush, continuing the creative partnership established on the band’s previous record.
The fourteen-track album moves through distorted synthesizers, guitar-driven alternative rock, atmospheric ballads, pop-influenced melodies, and a connected series of “dream” interludes. It features “Scared Together” and “Alone on a Hill,” alongside tracks including “Sticks and Stones,” “Hidden Moon,” “System Error,” “Empty Nest,” and “Quicksand.”
This 2022 U.S. indie-exclusive limited edition presents the complete album across two violet vinyl LPs in a gatefold jacket with iridescent foil through New Machine Recordings.
