Album Overview
Spacey Jane continue the story of their third studio album with Exit Wounds, a six-song EP written and recorded during the Los Angeles sessions for If That Makes Sense. Rather than functioning as leftover material, the songs explore another side of the band’s melodic indie-rock sound, pairing bright guitars and polished production with Caleb Harper’s confessional songwriting.
The EP opens with “I Never See Her” before moving through “Watch Me Break the News,” “It’s Not Lost on Me,” “East Village,” and “Sleeping Pills.” It closes with “Do You Really Love Her,” a song that gained traction on Viral 50 charts in both the United States and Australia.
Exit Wounds was produced by Day Wave and John Hill and mixed by Lars Stalfors. The material expands on the widescreen sound of If That Makes Sense while leaning further into melodic, '80s-influenced indie rock and pop textures.
This 2026 physical edition presents all six tracks on a red smoke 12-inch vinyl pressing through Concord Records.
Why You’ll Love It
If you enjoyed the emotional songwriting and expansive production of If That Makes Sense, Exit Wounds offers another perspective on the same creative period. Its concise six-song format combines melodic hooks, personal lyrics, and polished indie-rock production, while the red smoke vinyl gives the EP a distinctive physical presentation.
