Album Overview
David Lynch Has a Painting Made of Flies Eyes / Suzanne Ciani is a two-song single from SSVU, the collaborative project featuring Silversun Pickups and Butch Vig. The songs grew out of the creative energy surrounding the making of Silversun Pickups’ Physical Thrills, with the group turning stories and conversations into a pair of art-rock tracks centered on distinctive figures from film and electronic music.
The release pairs “David Lynch Has a Painting Made of Flies Eyes” on Side A with “Suzanne Ciani” on Side B. Together, the two tracks showcase SSVU’s alternative and art-rock approach while extending the creative partnership between Silversun Pickups and Butch Vig beyond the album sessions that inspired the project.
This limited-edition 7-inch single was released exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday 2022 through New Machine Recordings. The pressing was limited to 2,500 copies worldwide, with 1,300 copies allocated to the United States.
