Album Overview
Talking Heads expanded their distinctive blend of new wave, art rock, post-punk, and funk on More Songs About Buildings and Food, the band’s second studio album and the beginning of their landmark collaboration with producer Brian Eno. Originally released in 1978, the album sharpened the group’s angular rhythms and unconventional songwriting while producing enduring tracks including “Take Me to the River,” “Found a Job,” and “Thank You for Sending Me an Angel.”
This 2025 Deluxe Edition expands the album across two black vinyl LPs. LP 1 presents the complete original album newly remastered in 2025, while LP 2 gathers eleven rarities and alternate recordings from the era.
The bonus material includes alternate versions of “Thank You for Sending Me an Angel,” “With Our Love,” “Found a Job,” “Warning Sign,” and other album tracks, along with an instrumental version of “Electricity” and the “Country Angel” version of “Thank You for Sending Me an Angel.”
