THE CLASH – BORED WITH THE US FESTIVAL LIMITED JAPAN EDITION ON RED VINYL The Clash reached new heights of success with the release of the fifth Clash album, Combat Rock. Combat Rock spawned the US top 10 hit Rock the Casbah and this powerful single helped the album to achieve a double Platinum certification. This was the album which saw The Clash achieve success all over the world. Bored With The US Festival is the legendary broadcast from The US Festival, San Bernadino broadcast live to air on 28th May 1983 which celebrates the Combat Rock album which features Pete Howard on drums. The US broadcast was to prove the swansong for Mick Jones. This was Jones last concert broadcast with the group. Continuing internal friction led to increased tensions and in September 1983, Mick Jones was fired. Featuring Cover Illustrations by Ray Lowry - The Official Clash ‘War Artist’, who toured with The Clash and sketched them on stage and in rehearsal. Track Listing: Side 1 1. Somebdoy Got Murdered 2.
