Producers: Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff. Compilation producers: Leo Sacks, Adam Block. Recorded between 1966 & 1973. All tracks have been digitally remastered. This Intruders compilation is a sweet ten pack of hit singles with album cut/B-side "Save the Children" -- a rambling Gil Scott-Heron composition -- the sole exception. Long versions of "I'll Always Love My Mama" and "I Wanna Know Your Name," plus the chirpers "Cowboys to Girls," "Together," "A Love That's Real," and "Love Is Like a Baseball Game" may be all that the Intruders' casual fans need. But omitted favorites like "Win Place or Show (She's a Winner)" will surely rankle their die-hard janissaries. One thing is certain, this singalong disc will shorten those traffic-stifling drives from work. It includes their Bobby Starr- (who replaced Sam Brown for a minute) led update of the Dreamlovers' "When We Get Married." ~ Andrew Hamilton
