Miles under the radar and outside the mainstream, Memphis rap collective Three 6 Mafia's prolific, harsh, uncompromising raps have built a tremendous following through tape swapping and other grass-roots methods. Not an unusual story in the Southern rap world, but Three 6 Mafia have managed platinum success creating an even rawer world than anything on No Limit, and through a thicker sheen of syrup than the Screwed-Up Click.
