Bullets to the Gun is an appropriate inclusion for a double-disc set called Double Shot. Its companion on this 2014 two-fer is Clancy's Tavern, which was a bigger hit for Toby Keith largely due to the wonderfully drunken "Red Solo Cup," which is here along with the bonus tracks that filled out the deluxe edition of the album. Bullets also has its deluxe tracks -- in both cases, they're nicely shambolic covers -- and while these wouldn't be anybody's first picks for the best Toby Keith albums, they're solid records that are perhaps a bit underrated and make good companions. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
