While Volume 1 explored early ’80s Balearic, synth-pop, and disco, Volume 2 focuses on the diasporic scenes of London and New York, spotlighting the fusion of South Asian music with acid house, New Beat, dub, and more. From The Jets Orkhestra’s organ-fueled club banger “X-290” to the haunting downtempo of West India Company featuring Asha Bhosle, this collection is a crate digger’s dream of rare, never-before-reissued gems.
Curated by Turbotito & Ragz, the album is housed in a stunning gatefold with limoncello and purple haze eco-friendly 180-gram vinyl, and expertly mastered by Grammy-nominated Frank Merritt (The Carvery, London).
