Lost Weekend: The Best of Wall of Voodoo - The I.R.S. Years serves as the first proper compilation for the eccentric Los Angeles new wave/art rock collective. Known primarily for their signature 1983 hit "Mexican Radio," Wall of Voodoo only made four full-length albums, the first two of which were fronted by Stan Ridgway and the second pair by Andy Prieboy. Lost Weekend gives both frontmen room to strut, offering up the cream of the crop from both, such as "Red Light," "Factory," "Far Side of Crazy," and "Big City," as well as a trio of choice covers, including the band's electrifying take on Merle Travis' "Dark as a Dungeon." ~ James Christopher Monger
