Album Overview
Pinkerton is Weezer’s second studio album, released in 1996. Produced by the band, the record moved away from the polished sound of their debut toward a rawer, more emotionally direct approach built around distorted guitars, melodic hooks, and deeply personal songwriting.
The album features “The Good Life,” “El Scorcho,” and “Pink Triangle,” alongside tracks including “Tired of Sex,” “Across the Sea,” “Falling for You,” and the closing “Butterfly.” Although its initial reception was mixed, Pinkerton later developed a devoted following and became an influential release within alternative rock and emo.
This original 1996 U.S. CD edition presents the complete ten-track album through DGC Records.
