Album Overview
Weezer, commonly known as The Teal Album, is Weezer’s 2019 collection of cover songs. Following the success of the band’s rendition of Toto’s “Africa,” the album expands the concept into ten interpretations of songs spanning rock, pop, new wave, R&B, and more.
The album includes Weezer’s versions of Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” a-ha’s “Take On Me,” Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid,” Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky,” TLC’s “No Scrubs,” Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” and Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me.”
